Brunner Island Natural Gas Conversion Project
Project Description
PPL Generation initially selected the firm to perform an investigation for a proposed pipeline route extending from a Texas Eastern distribution point approximately 3 miles to the 1,490-MW Brunner Island Steam Electric Station in East Manchester Township, PA, a coal-fired facility that serves approximately 1 million homes in the region.
PPL subsequently retained the firm to provide final engineering, design, and permitting services, as well as construction phase support, for the $25 million project, which consists of a 24-inch-diameter pipeline, a metering station near the Texas Eastern connection, and a pressure-reducing station on the island.
