Senior Structural Engineer
We currently have a Sr. Structural Engineering opening in our main engineering office. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and designers on multiple projects within the critical infrastructure industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Develop structural engineering plans, design, and layout.
- Provide drawings and/or sketches for designs to be incorporated in construction drawings by drafters; review shop drawings.
- Serve as the responsible engineer for projects; sign and seal structural drawings.
- Research design options.
- Prepare load combination drawings and tables for structure manufacturers.
- May serve as Project Engineer and as a client contact on projects.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering design documents.
- Attend and participate in project meetings.
- Perform field activities—observation of construction progress and existing field conditions.
- Effectively communicate project progress and issues to the design team and maintain communication with the team members throughout the course of the project.
- Capable of managing and performing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Calculate structure heights and weights, concrete volumes, equipment fit-up, and ad hoc tasks.
- Cost estimating, including take-offs and getting quotes.
Capabilities and Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
- Registered Engineer (P.E.) or the ability to obtain an engineering license within 18 months.
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience supporting oil & gas or similar heavy industrial projects.
- Limited travel and fieldwork will be required.
- Proficiency with RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, LPILE, TEKLA/TEDDS, HILTI, and Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Surveyor
We currently have a Surveyor opening to support operations at our Wyomissing, PA office. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a survey team supporting fieldwork for a variety of projects within the critical infrastructure industry. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides technical direction to both direct-hire and third-party survey crews.
- Develops and maintains field survey data.
- Implements project quality control from the department manual.
- Implementation of the project safety and project environmental programs.
- Provides civil project completion documentation including “As-Built” records.
- Provides training to field personnel on surveying techniques.
- Performs verifications of subcontract survey work.
- Meet times and budgets allocated to each assignment.
- Performs edits to field files before office processing.
Capabilities and Credentials:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing field surveys.
- Working knowledge of GPS Total Stations (Base and Rover) and data collectors to perform topographic surveys.
- Working knowledge of land development, construction, or base mapping project work.
- Ability to work on multiple projects under the guidance of project managers, engineers, and lead designers.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents such as drawings, sketches, and 3D representations to exercise judgment within the defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Working knowledge in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
- Must be able to use Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.

Electrical Designer
We currently have an opening in our Wyomissing office for an Electrical Designer. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and designers on multiple projects within the critical infrastructure industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Apply client and departmental design guidelines and/or drafting standards in daily work assignments with guidance from senior staff.
- Ensure that layer names, line types, text sizes, and drawing arrangements are in accordance with standards as set forth on the Project.
- Manage budget and schedule for the project’s resources and deliverables.
- Plan own daily work and the work of other team members.
- Be able to read, interpret, and check vendor drawings and vendor catalogs.
- Travel independently to and conduct site surveys to document electrical, instrumentation, and controls at existing client sites and facilities (~ 5% of the time).

- Associate’s or technical degree in electrical systems design preferred.

Piping Designer
We currently have an opening in our Wyomissing, PA office for an experienced Piping Designer in our Energy division. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and designers on multiple projects for the Oil and Gas industry. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- In coordination with engineers and other designers, produce construction drawings and plan set using computer-aided drafting programs (mainly CADWorx, knowledge of additional CAD software and Revit is a plus).
- Completes tasks on projects including preparing P&IDs, piping plans, piping sections, isometrics, bill of materials, etc.
- Closely teamwork with other members of the project team with a willingness to take on more responsibilities as your experience evolves.
- Work closely with design leads and engineers in recommending the best use of CAD tools to achieve project objectives, and troubleshoot and resolve issues with CAD tools.
- Perform thorough quality control edits (red lines) of construction documents as directed by the design team and utilizing the correct project and/or company standards.
- Assist on-site visits with the project/survey team.

Senior Electrical Engineer
Our Houston office is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience planning, organizing, and developing engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of water, wastewater treatment, and energy plants and facilities. This position will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from start to finish.
- Planning personal daily tasks and the work of other team members.
- Manage budget and schedule for the project’s resources and deliverables.
- Participate in or lead squad check drawing package reviews.
- Be able to read, interpret, and check vendor E&I drawings and vendor catalogs.
- Travel independently to and conduct site surveys to document electrical, instrumentation, and controls at existing client sites and facilities (up to 10%)
Capabilities and Credentials:
- A minimum of 8 years of engineering design experience supporting oil and gas and heavy industrial projects.
- Four-year engineering degree from an accredited university.
- Registered Professional Engineer (by exam) or capable of getting PE within 18 months.
- Extensive working knowledge and understanding of the latest version of the National Electrical Code, especially hazardous locations.
- Working knowledge of relevant standards: UL, API, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA.
- Proficient in interfacing with 480 V & below power electrical equipment (MCC & motor controls, transformers, ASDs, etc.) and calculations for conduit fill, voltage drop, sizing of transformers, conductors, panelboards, breakers, etc.
- Understanding of power system studies using EasyPower, SKM or ETAP.
- Experience with wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, PLC cabinet design, plot plans, loop diagrams, I/O lists, P&IDs, cable/conduit schedules, panelboard schedules, and electrical and instrument installation details.
- Minimal supervision on scope development and technical details.
- Proficient in MS Word & Excel in creating documents from scratch.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills: Work with clients one-on-one.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent mentoring skills to help train less experienced designers and engineers.
