24-Inch Manhattan Connection
Project Description
AEDES provided preliminary engineering and cost estimating services to Explorer Pipeline for the installation of a new 24-inch petroleum pipeline. This pipeline was designed to connect a station situated in Peotone to another firm’s terminal facility in Manhattan, IL, covering a distance of approximately 15 miles.
This collaborative effort aimed to ensure the efficient and well-informed planning of the new petroleum pipeline, taking into account engineering considerations, cost estimations, and adherence to regulatory and environmental standards.
The scope of our services involved a comprehensive assessment of various aspects, including route selection, construction considerations, environmental impact evaluation, and permitting requirements. Additionally, our team prepared an implementation schedule, providing a roadmap for the successful execution of the project.
