AEDES Advances Energy Infrastructure Safety and Innovation at INGAA Foundation Summer Meeting

AED Energy Services (AEDES) recently participated in the INGAA Foundation Summer Planning & Strategy Meeting, a crucial gathering of industry leaders focused on advancing the safety, reliability, and innovation of North America’s natural gas transmission system. Representing AEDES were Chris Antoni, Senior Vice President of Technical Services, and Keith Venable, Director of Business Development.

The INGAA Foundation plays a vital role in the natural gas pipeline industry by serving as a collaborative platform for operators, contractors, suppliers, and service providers. Its mission centers on promoting the safe, efficient, environmentally responsible, and reliable design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the continent’s critical energy infrastructure. For AEDES, active involvement in this foundation is a strategic commitment to influence and contribute to industry standards and innovations that directly impact the projects and communities we serve.

This Summer Planning & Strategy Meeting marks an important phase in the Foundation’s annual research cycle. It is the forum where members present proposed studies designed to address the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the natural gas transmission sector. These proposals include detailed scopes of work, cost projections, and intended outcomes, with the goal of securing co-sponsorship from Foundation members. The selected studies, refined throughout the year, ultimately drive improvements in areas such as environmental stewardship, construction best practices, pipeline safety, regulatory compliance, and emerging technologies.

AEDES’s participation is more than passive attendance — it is an active contribution to shaping research agendas that will help elevate industry-wide safety protocols, operational efficiency, and technological adoption. By engaging at this level, AEDES ensures it stays at the forefront of regulatory trends, industry innovations, and risk management strategies, which in turn strengthens the services and solutions we provide to our clients.

A highlight of the meeting was the keynote address delivered by Congresswoman Gwen Moore, who offered compelling insights into the critical role energy infrastructure plays in economic growth, community development, and national reliability. Her remarks underscored the necessity of balancing infrastructure advancement with environmental and social responsibility—an ongoing challenge for the industry. Panel discussions featuring regulatory authorities and industry executives further explored current and emerging issues, including pipeline safety advancements, policy developments, and infrastructure modernization.

For AEDES, the value of participating in the INGAA Foundation is clear. It provides a seat at the table where the future of the natural gas industry is being thoughtfully planned and researched. The collaborative environment encourages the sharing of expertise and fosters partnerships that extend beyond the meeting room. These relationships and insights empower AEDES to continuously improve our approach to project execution and client service, ensuring that we meet not only today’s demands but also anticipate tomorrow’s challenges.

Our engagement at the Summer Planning & Strategy Meeting reaffirms AEDES’s commitment to leadership in the energy infrastructure space. By contributing to cutting-edge research and remaining aligned with industry best practices, AEDES is positioned to deliver solutions that prioritize safety, sustainability, and operational excellence. This proactive approach helps build a more resilient natural gas transmission network that serves the needs of communities and economies across North America.
