Springbrook Gas Processing Plant
Project Description
AEDES provided end-to-end engineering and design, construction, and startup support for a substantial energy infrastructure project in Williams County, ND, catering to Flatirons Field Services. The project encompasses a 45-MMscfd refrigeration gas plant, two compressor stations, and an extensive gathering system.
The refrigeration plant boasts a diverse set of components, including inlet handling, 25 MMscfd of inlet compression, a natural gas liquids (NGL) stabilization tower with separate condensate feed and overhead compression, a propane refrigeration system, ethylene-glycol regeneration, gas lift compression, a hot oil system, NGL storage and metering, truck-loading, fuel gas conditioning, and power generation.
In addition to the low-pressure gathering network and high-pressure transportation pipeline, the gas lift distribution system comprises 44 miles of high-pressure distribution pipeline and well pad metering stations. These components communicate seamlessly through a supervisory control and data acquisition network to the main refrigeration plant. This multifaceted project showcases our expertise in delivering comprehensive solutions for complex energy infrastructure challenges.

The gathering system includes two low-pressure gathering networks with a total of 48 miles of high-density polyethylene pipe, connecting 149 wells to feed the refrigeration and compressor stations. These compressor stations, in turn, distribute dehydrated hydrocarbon liquids and gas to the refrigeration plant via 12 miles of high-pressure carbon steel transportation pipeline.
