Broadway Phase 3

Project Description

AED Energy Services (AEDES) was engaged by a confidential client to support the reversal of flow for a pipeline system, increasing bi-directional movement of refined products and strengthening connectivity into Pennsylvania markets. The project required removing check valves and installing motor operated valves along 180 miles of pipeline and completing piping modifications across six stations and junctions to improve system efficiency.

AEDES provided detailed engineering, survey, permitting, material procurement, and construction support for new line pipe and MOV installations in accordance with industry and PHMSA requirements. The team performed surge analysis, supported hydrotesting, and updated 3D models and piping isometrics for stations in Duncansville, Sinking Spring, Shields, and Mechanicsburg. ErectaStep platform layouts were incorporated where needed to ensure safe access to new or relocated valves.

AEDES also delivered civil, structural, and environmental services, including wetland delineation and PADEP permitting, and completed detailed engineering in phases to allow the client to begin construction while engineering was still in progress.
