Permian Longview and Louisiana Extension (PELA)
Project Description
The project involved increasing the capacity and re-rating of an approximately 112-mile, 20-inch pipeline from Wortham to Longview, TX, enabling Gulf Coast refiners in Texas and Louisiana to tap into the expanding Permian Basin production. The Permian Longview Access (PELA) is anticipated to boast a capacity of approximately 96,000 bpd of crude oil, serving as a supply source for West Texas Sour and West Texas Intermediate crude oil.
In its initial phase, the project included the establishment of connectivity to the ExxonMobil Longview/Mid-Valley facility through the installation of a Greenfield booster pump station near Leagueville, TX. AED Energy Services played a pivotal role by providing comprehensive engineering and design services for the Wortham, Leagueville, and Texoma Stations. This strategic enhancement aligns with the broader objective of facilitating the seamless transport and utilization of crude oil resources from the Permian Basin to key refineries, fostering regional energy access and sustainability.
