Ohio Pipeline Project / Pennsylvania Pipeline Project / Mariner East II Expansion
Project Description
AEDES played a crucial role in the comprehensive support and oversight of two natural gas liquids pipelines covering a distance of 360 miles across 17 counties, stretching from Scio, Ohio, to Marcus Hook, Delaware County, PA. The services provided included Construction-Phase E&S Design Support, Construction Management Support, PADEP Public Comment, and Permit Modification Quality Control Reviews, as well as Third-Party Environmental Inspection.
Throughout the permitting review and public-comment phase, our team addressed technical deficiencies outlined in the 2,400 public and PADEP comments, resulting in responses submitted to the Department by December 2016. Quality Control (QC) reviews were conducted for various permit modifications, particularly for horizontal directional drill (HDD) and conventional bore crossings, focusing on erosion and sedimentation control, stream and wetland impacts, and other construction-related concerns.
Over the span of 2.5 years, daily E&S control inspections and reporting were diligently carried out during and after the construction of 15 miles of the pipeline corridor in Washington County. This meticulous effort ensured compliance with Consent Order stipulations, issued in response to Chapter 102 violations, and all other requirements outlined in the PADEP-approved Chapter 102 permits. The comprehensive and proactive approach taken by our team contributed significantly to the successful and compliant execution of this extensive pipeline project.
