San Diego CNG Fueling Station

Project Description

AEDES played a pivotal role in the development of a new fast-fill and time-fill Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling station. Our contributions encompassed design drawings, equipment specifications, and technical support throughout the permitting and construction stages. This 24/7 operational station serves a continuous flow of public vehicles and facilitates overnight fueling for EDCO’s trucks.

Key features of this project include two electric-motor driven compressors, a single-tower gas dryer with a semi-automatic regeneration system, a priority-sequencing control valve panel, six CNG storage spheres, two fast-fill dispensers, 50 time-fill stations, and a state-of-the-art fuel management system.

Scope of work included:

  • Coordinating with the local gas utility
  • Developing the CNG equipment layout
  • Preparing comprehensive CNG station construction documents
  • Providing technical support to obtain building permits
  • Offering continuous technical support throughout the construction phase
